Convince me that your desire to shout hateful and ignorant epithets which
serve to incite more hatred are okay and right and good.
Harv, the epithets die pretty much where they fall unless someone wants
to make a buck on them, like the news media and the Reverends Jesse
Jackson and Al Sharpton. Society will never stamp out such epithets
entirely and publicizing them only gives them further life. If you don't
stop picking at the wound, it'll never heal.
The Other Mickey
Good point. I know on local radio I have heard worse said a million
times. Fortunately, my local is nowhere near Jesse Jackson or Al
Sharpton, so the public laughs or cringes at a given joke, moves on,
and no one is hurt.
In this case, so much attention has been given to it that it's almost
backfired.
Remember years ago when Greaseman (who?) played a song and said, "No
wonder they drag those people behind trucks"? He vanished into
obscurity after that...

Do you want polite or do you want sincere?
Most people wanted slavery in the
1830s - did that make it okay?
So you want to talk okay from not okay? Right from wrong?1830s - did that make it okay?
